Our Services

Custom Website Design

We primarily build custom designed websites. These websites are visually appealing and also easy to navigate. Our process begins with a discovery meeting to learn more about your business or nonprofit and then we create a custom design showing how the homepage will look. If a logo is needed then we can also design that at this time. Our projects typically include unlimited revisions but most projects only actually need 2 – 4 rounds of revisions.

Web Development

In addition to website design we also are experts at web development. Our preferred content management system is WordPress and we use that for most of the websites that we build. WordPress is the most popular content management system and provides an easy to use administration area for updating content. It also has a wide ecosystem of plugins that allow for easily extending the functionality. So we can easily add in membership areas or e-commerce functionality. When an existing plugin doesn’t exist we also can create a custom plugin to provide additional functionality. When WordPress isn’t a good fit for a project we typically turn to the Laravel framework which allows us to build completely custom solutions. We have extensive experience with web app development, including building custom e-commerce solutions, membership portals and workflow management systems.

Website Hosting

Once your newly designed website is launched we continue to monitor it and keep it updated with the latest security patches. At Pinpoint Digital we do our own hosting. While many other website design companies simply resell other hosting we have invested in our own infrastructure to enable us to provide very fast hosting.

Digital Marketing Services

Many of the businesses that we work with are looking for more than a brochure website. Their goal is to grow their business through Internet marketing. We provide a range of digital marketing services.

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): We specialize in optimizing websites to enhance their visibility through search engine optimization. The search engine optimization process includes doing both on-page and off-page optimization to improve rankings and deliver relevant traffic. We also help optimize Google My Business profiles as part of our search engine optimization campaigns.
  • Google Ads Management: We provide Google Ads management services and work to continuously improve campaigns. Google Ads is a great way to get leads quickly while we are working on doing the optimization for search engines. As the results from the search engine optimization campaign improve the Google Ads spend can be decreased.

Graphic Design Services

We also provide general graphic design services. This includes designing business cards or creating postcards for direct mail campaigns. Our graphic design services are even used to create tradeshow materials.

Our Location

We are located at 55 Whiting Street, Suite 3B, in Plainville, Connecticut.

About Hartford, Connecticut

Hartford stands as more than just the capital city of the state—it’s a living testament to American history, a bustling metropolis that seamlessly intertwines its rich past with a thriving present. Founded in 1635, Hartford stands proudly among the oldest cities in the United States, boasting a heritage that spans centuries.

With a population of 121,054 as of 2020, Hartford is the largest city in the Capitol Planning Region and a core city within the Greater Hartford metropolitan area. Though it’s not the most populous city in Connecticut, its historical significance and cultural contributions make it a gem worth exploring.

The city’s historical footprint is imprinted with many “firsts.” Hartford proudly hosts the country’s oldest public art museum, the Wadsworth Atheneum, showcasing an extensive collection that spans thousands of years. It’s also home to the oldest publicly funded park, Bushnell Park, offering a serene retreat amid the urban landscape.

Literary enthusiasts will appreciate that Hartford was where the iconic author Mark Twain penned his most famous works. The Mark Twain House remains a cherished landmark, preserving the legacy of a literary genius whose words echoed the charm of this city. Twain himself once declared, “Of all the beautiful towns, it has been my fortune to see this is the chief.”

Hartford’s historical significance extends to its role as the sole capital of Connecticut since 1875. Prior to this, the capital rotated between Hartford and New Haven, a nod to the rich history and the amalgamation of the Colony of New Haven into the Colony of Connecticut in 1664.

The city’s economy has seen its peaks and valleys. From being the wealthiest city in the United States after the Civil War, Hartford has experienced a shift, now ranking among the poorest. However, juxtaposed against this economic struggle, the Greater Hartford metropolitan area stands out, ranked impressively in total economic production and per capita income.

Hartford’s monikers, the “Insurance Capital of the World” and “America’s filing cabinet,” speak to its pivotal role in the global insurance industry. The city hosts the headquarters of numerous insurance companies, solidifying its place as a hub for this sector. Additionally, Hartford’s prominence extends to other industries, including services, education, and healthcare.

The city’s historical narrative intertwines with indigenous tribes, including the Podunks, Poquonocks, Massacoes, and others, all Algonquian peoples. The Dutch were the first Europeans to explore the area, leaving their mark with the establishment of Fort Hoop in the present-day Sheldon/Charter Oak neighborhood. The English soon followed, settling upstream and eventually outnumbering the Dutch settlers.

The birth of Hartford is rooted in the Puritan migration, led by influential figures like Thomas Hooker and Samuel Stone. Their journey from Newtown (now Cambridge) culminated in the establishment of Hartford in 1637, initially named Newtown but later changed to honor Stone’s English hometown, Hertford. Hooker’s sermon inspired the writing of the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut, laying the groundwork for the state’s governance and separation from Massachusetts Bay Colony.

The Charter Oak, an ancient white oak tree, became emblematic of the city’s history. It served as a hiding place for Connecticut’s Royal Charter of 1662, symbolizing the defiance against confiscation by an English governor-general. Today, the Charter Oak Monument stands as a reminder of this significant moment in history.

As one navigates Hartford’s streets, the blend of historical landmarks, modern skyscrapers, and a vibrant cultural scene showcases a city that cherishes its past while embracing progress. The streets that once witnessed the birth of a nation now host a diverse tapestry of culture, commerce, and community.

Hartford, with its layers of history and contemporary vitality, stands as a testament to resilience, embodying the American spirit in its purest form—a city where echoes of the past harmonize with the rhythms of the present.
