What Can A Custom Web Application Do For Your Business?

Web applications are, as the name implies, applications that run within a web browser.  Anyone who has used the Internet has likely used a web application.  Examples of web applications include popular sites such as Facebook, twitter, Hotmail and Gmail.  Sometimes web applications are a small component of a web site while other times they are the entire web site.  Web applications can be built in an hour or require thousands of hours to build.  Many web applications are free and can be easily integrated into an existing web site with minimal effort.

The following are some examples of web applications.

  • Membership portals to provide content to only certain people.
  • E-commerce web sites to allow for selling products.
  • Content management systems to allow for the management of content on a web site.
  • Online donation forms.
  • Completely custom applications.  These projects can take anywhere from 5 hours to 200 hours and can involve a lot of planning.
