Even the many shades of brown in the already fallen leaves can inspire creativity. Autumn colors combine to create a rustic appearance in web designs.

While your website color scheme needs to integrate your brand, your web designer can use colors to enhance it. A rustic color scheme can be applied to nearly any industry. The rustic colors of fall will work for a high end design company equally as well a family restaurant. A skilled web designer will be able to refine the colors so they elicit the response you desire from visitors to your website.

A rustic appearance makes a website inviting, experienced and trustworthy. It can add a personal touch to an otherwise austere website. Ultimately, only you will be able to determine whether or not an autumn-inspired rustic color scheme is appropriate for your website.

In some industries, your website theme may change with the seasons. Using autumn colors will then be a natural progression as the leaves turn ablaze with brilliant colors. Work with your web designer to develop an appropriate design to draw visitors to your website in. Your focus still needs to be on the products and services you are selling. If you’re not careful, seasonal colors can actually detract from your website, making it appear kitschy.

The West Elm website is a good example of how to get it right. The page stays true to the sleek brand of the company, while using textured reds and browns to give users a rustic experience. Achieving just the right balance isn’t difficult, but it does require that you work with an experienced web designer.
