KS Discount Mart Launches

KS Discount Mart recently launched the first of two web sites. LionLeaf handled all aspects of the programming, including the creation of a custom content management system which allows for products and specials to be managed. The site integrates with the MailChimp email marketing system and allows for the generation of weekly newsletters based on the products in the database.

WHUS Radio Station Web Site Launches

UConn’s WHUS radio station recently launched a new version of their web site. LionLeaf handled all aspects of the programming, including the development of a custom content management system which provides the station with the ability to manage most aspects of the site. One of the major improvements of the new site is the ability for WHUS DJ’s to edit their own profile pages, manage play lists and create blog entries.

Installing ColdFusion 8 on Ubuntu

Although not officially supported by Adobe, ColdFusion 8 can be successfully installed and run on Ubuntu.

The following can be used for installing ColdFusion on Ubuntu 10.04 (32 bit):

Make sure that Apache (sudo apt-get install apache2) and and libc6-i686 are installed (sudo apt-get install libc6-i686).

sudo ./coldfusion-801-lin.bin

Specify the following:

Apache Configuration Directory: /etc/apache2
Apache Binary File: /usr/sbin/apache2
Apache Control File: /etc/init.d/apache2

sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

The Connecticut Community Foundation has launched a new and improved version of their web site. LionLeaf handled all programming for the web site. The site is completely manageable via a content management system, includes a donor portal, the ability to accept donations online as well as other custom functionality.

LionLeaf recently finished building a large web application called e4score. We were responsible for all aspects of the site development except for the graphic design. The web site aggreagates large amounts of United States government data related to truckload carriers and provides shippers with access to this information. Transportation service providers are able to maintain their profiles while shippers are able to search the database of carriers to discover the best carriers for their shipping needs. The site is e-commerce enabled and provides a wide array of functioanlity for both transportation service providers and shippers.
